Tom's Arrangement of What Child Is This (Greensleeves)
When Tom created his arrangement of What Child Is This (Greensleeves), I loved it! So, I knew we had to add this simple yet compellingly beautiful music score to our Sheet Music Plus site. Then, while uploading the sheet music for publication, I decided to include this beautiful video of Tom demoing his arrangement. Now, What Child Is This (Greensleeves) is on Sheet Music Plus. Enjoy the music...

About Tom Aufrance's Arrangement
This A Mixolydian arrangement is inspired by playing with smallpipes (bagpipe parlor pipes) that are tuned to A. The score has D as the key, and students of music theory will recognize it as "A Mix."
What is Tom's inspiration for using this ancient and mystical sound to create his arrangement of What Child Is This (Greensleeves)? He got the idea while creating an arrangement that could be played in an ensemble that includes smallpipes (bagpipe parlor pipes) keyed in A. The group we play with includes pipes, guitar, accordion and bass. However, we think you will agree that Tom's lovely arrangement can be enjoyed using a variety of other instruments, as well.
