Tom's Arrangement of What Child Is This (Greensleeves)

When Tom created his arrangement of What Child Is This (Greensleeves), I loved it! So, I knew we had to add this simple yet compellingly beautiful music score to our Sheet Music Plus site. Then, while uploading the sheet music for publication, I decided to include this beautiful video of Tom demoing his arrangement. Enjoy the music...

Sheet Music for What Child Is This (Greensleeves)

What Child Is This (Greensleeves) is on Sheet Music Plus.

This A Mixolydian arrangement is inspired by playing with smallpipes (bagpipe parlor pipes) that are tuned to A. The score has D as the key, and students of music theory will recognize it as A Mix.

Tom's inspiration for this ancient and mystical sound is playing this tune in an ensemble with smallpipes (bagpipe parlor pipes) keyed in A. The group we play with includes pipes, guitar, accordion and bass. However, we think you will agree that Tom's lovely arrangement can be enjoyed using a variety of instruments.
