Yippe Yai-o Kai-yey! Slim & Minnie have
been invited back again to perform at the Plumas-Sierra
County Fair!
Get Involved! Thanks
to a dedicated staff and Fair Board, John Stefanic,
Fair Director, thanks everybody for a success
and announces the fair is ON for 2012! He said
he entertainment was the best in years, including
Slim and Minnie, Spike the Juggler, Sourdough
Slim, Dr. Solar, several bands and more. Kidland!
hosted by Calvary Chapel was a major hit. The
Bull Ride Smackdown was standing room only.
Take time to check out the You Tube video of
our now world famous Redneck Electricity Parade.
John says, "It looks like we have a plan
in place to keep the fairgrounds open, meaning
there will be a fair in 2012! We can use any
help you can offer, so contact the fair office
if you have an area of interest or expertise,
we would love to have you. I have lots of exciting
events planned over the next year!"

Venue! Grandma Hattie's... Come
out to Grandma Hattie's Restaurant in
Carson City for folk music night! Pull
up a chair, enjoy dinner or a treat and
join in and sing along or dance a jig?
Our show is fun, and it's full of your
favotite folk tunes and songs including
Celtic, Appalacian and Cowboy songs. Grandma
Hattie's is a full service restaurant,
so you can make it your dinner show and
sing or dance along, too. This event is
family and kid friendly, so bring the
whole family! We've been doing our folk
music shows in Carson City since 2003,
formerly at Borders Bookstore Cafe, and
when the cafe closed, we were happy to
find a new home at Grandma Hattie's Restaurant.
Slim
& Minnie
This charming Out West couple will charm
their way into your hearts with music
and humor. As Slim and Minnie, we first
performed at the Carson Rendezvous with
the
Nevada Gunfighters Old West Theatrical
troupe to provide music between wild west
skits. Now you can look for Slim and Minnie
on the stage during summer at festivals
in Nevada and Northern California! Contact
us to to get Slim and Minnie to entertain
at your event!
Shows
for Old Folks - Years ago, we
started giving shows for seniors and hospital
patients, and we still love doing these
shows! We even hear it's called music
therapy, but to us and the seniors, it's
just fun! Every other week we take our
silver bag full of maracas and our act
out to their home, and the residents sing
and play along. We get some of our greatest
inspiration and song ideas from the old
folks, and the staff members say we brighten
their day, too.
We're happy
to announce we
now have two assisted living facilities
on our
program for "music therapy"
and we're looking
into getting certified to hold the professional
designation of Certified Music Therapists.
